These Terms of Use apply to programmer-corner.com and its tool subdomains (together "the Site"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. The service

Programmer Corner provides free online tools for developers, including file conversion, website performance and SEO checks, formatting and encoding utilities, API tools, uptime monitoring and knowledge tests. We may add, change, limit or remove tools at any time, and we don't guarantee that any tool will always be available.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site to:

• break any law, or infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright and privacy;
• scan, audit or monitor websites or servers that you don't own or aren't authorised to test, or use the tools to attack, overload or probe any system;
• upload malware, or content that is illegal, abusive or harmful;
• send automated traffic that overloads the Site, get around rate limits, or scrape the Site at scale;
• interfere with the Site's security or with other people's use of it.

We may block access or close accounts that break these rules.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the files, text and URLs you submit and to the results the tools produce. You give us only the limited permission needed to process them and return your result. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to use anything you submit. How we handle submitted content is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Accounts

Some features, such as the Uptime Monitor, need an account. Keep your login details safe and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You're responsible for activity under your account. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

5. Results and accuracy

Tool results are produced automatically. Performance scores depend on network conditions at the time of testing, audits can only check what a page makes publicly available, and test scores (including IQ estimates) are for information and entertainment only and are not a professional assessment. Check important results yourself before relying on them.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's design, code, text, test questions and branding belong to Programmer Corner and are protected by law. You may use the tools freely, but you may not copy or republish the Site itself, or present it as your own.

7. Advertising and third-party links

The Site shows advertising served by Google AdSense and may link to other websites. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party ads, sites or services.

8. No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and uninterrupted availability. Keep your own backups of any file you process.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Programmer Corner is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Site or inability to use it, including missed or delayed uptime alerts.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with details of the work, where it appears on the Site, and your contact information.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
